At this Time of Day, Even the Shadows are in Colour (Pavillion II), 2026
The installation, made of textiles and steel construction, draws on the architecture of garden pavilions. Designed for the site on the banks of the Bystrzyca, for The Riverview Arts Festival in Lublin, ‘the pavilion’ takes on a geometric shape which, when viewed from above, may resemble an indefinite constellation.
“Light, semi-transparent fabrics, suspended from a steel framework, flutter in the wind; the sun shines through them, blending their colours. You can sit or lie down on the grass and watch them move. This pavilion of colourful shadows catches the eye; from this spot, we can view our surroundings in a different light.”
The work is a tribute to the moment, a call to pause, to sharpen one’s senses, and to surrender to the influence of the surrounding nature.
The work was created in collaboration with DEKOMA
