Double Spaces, 2026
drawings
Coloured pencil on paper, 150 x 110 cm
“Double Spaces” consists of two works on paper created several years apart. Recurring elements within these compositions are planar forms suggesting additional dimensions within the works themselves. Repeated motifs include vessel-like forms and spherical shapes, referring to cyclical processes and a non-linear understanding of time. An essential and integral aspect of both drawings is the use of empty space, which remains in active dialogue with the individual forms. Although separated by years, the two works remain closely interconnected, revealing a subtle yet inevitable process of transformation occurring within a seemingly closed and unchanging space.
